Bhargav Butani is the sole developer behind The Dodo Play. Every calculator, converter and generator on this site, along with the articles that explain how they work, is designed, built and written by him.
Background
Bhargav's background is in software development, and The Dodo Play grew out of a habit familiar to a lot of developers: keeping a folder of small scripts and one-off snippets to solve everyday problems — converting a base64 string, checking a GST amount, generating a UUID for a project — instead of digging through ad-heavy search results every time. At some point it made more sense to turn that folder into a proper website other people could use too.
What "solo-built" actually means here
There's no editorial team and no outsourced content mill involved. Bhargav writes the tools' underlying logic himself, tests the formulas against known reference values, and writes the accompanying blog posts personally. That also means updates happen unevenly — some weeks bring three new tools, other weeks are quiet — but nothing goes on the site that he hasn't personally checked.
